What is a Render?

Render is either a Cement or Acrylic based type of mortar applied as a decorative, weather-resistant finish over an exterior brick or stone surface. Made from cement, fine sand and lime, rendering mortar can be applied to a huge rage of surfaces and is usually applied in several coats depending on the chosen system, with the final coat being the finish.

Mainly applied to external surfaces, renders can also be used internally and/or used as a precoat on rough surfaces to allow better adhesion for water proofing. Rendering offers customers a clean, low maintenance surface that is easily washable and can be painted to a desired colour.

Render can also have a number of textured finishes applied to it that will not only enhance its appearance but will also add value to your property.

Bag Render

Bag Render
  • Bag Render is a dry premixed product that is simply combined with water.
  • Using a Bag Render allows you to apply the render directly to a surface without having to first apply an adhesive Tyrolean coating.
  • Bag Render can be painted within 48hours of application without the need for priming.
  • The use of Bag Renders means more time rendering and less time cleaning up after the job, this in turn decreases the job time and is far more cost effective.

Site Mix Render

Site Mix
  • Site Mix Render is a mixture of measured quantities of Cement, Sand and Water.
  • Using a Site Mixed Render means that the surface it is to be applied to must first be sprayed with a Tyrolean coating.
  • Site Mix Render requires 28days to cure and must to be primed prior to painting.
  • Sit Mixed Renders are labour intensive and require a more time consuming cleanup process.

Acrylic Render

  • Acrylic Render is a flexible 100% acrylic based coating mainly composed of quartz sand, an acrylic binder and other additives.
  • Acrylic Render is premixed, and is especially suitable for fibre cement and painted substrates where tolerance to movement and good adhesion must be considered.
  • Acrylic Renders do not need painting although sealing is highly reccomended. Render can be mixed to your colour needs while offering excellent flexibility, low maintenance and long term durability.

What is a Texture?

Render is either a Cement or Acrylic based type of mortar applied as a decorative, weather-resistant finish over an exterior brick or stone surface. Made from cement, fine sand and lime, rendering mortar can be applied to a huge rage of surfaces and is usually applied in several coats, with the final coat being the finish.

Roll On

Paints And Sealers

  • Paints are simply the final coat applied to a rendered and/or textured surface.
  • There are as many types of paint and methods of application as there are colours. All can be applied to benefit the life and appearance of your rendered and/or textured surfaces.
  • Sealing is reccomended when paint is not applied to the render, making the render more vibrant, easier to clean and more durable to increase longevity
